What's in our bylaws
Per the BC Artistic Swimming Club Operations Policy and the BC Societies Act, our bylaws cover at minimum:
- Organization name and call letters
- Membership — admission requirements, duration, withdrawal, and expulsion
- Member meetings — annual meeting, notice, quorum, and voting rights
- Board structure — composition, appointment, removal, and duties of directors and officers
- Finance and management, including the financial year
- The procedure for making, amending, and rescinding bylaws
- Dissolution
Amendments
Bylaws are amended by special resolution of the membership at a general meeting. Members are notified in advance through the meeting notice. Once filed with BC Registries, the amended bylaws are published here.
